Jolly Charme Suite
The "Jolly Charme Suite", located in a historical building dating back to the 900’s, represents a mirage of rationalist architecture upon the water. The building was designed in 1929 by the architect Giuseppe Samonà within the new urban setting for Messina’s port, the so-called "Palazzata" or "Teatro marittimo": a suggestion characterized by simple shapes and the use of innovative materials such as violet and yellow coloured glass tile panels.
